Smart Sonic has a new Model 2003 Stencil Cleaner that is designed to clean SMD adhesives, solder paste and post solder flux residue from wave solder pallets, oven air amplifiers, etc. all in the same system at the same time with the same chemistry. Check the Smart Sonic Web Site: www.smartsonic.com The system is "turn-key", cleaner, chemistry and liquid waste handling! | Does anyone have any recommendations for SMT Adhesive and Solder Paste Cleaning Systems? You may want to take a look at Austin American Technologies. AAT has several system configurations that will fit your needs, including stencil, PCB and component cleaners. AAT has an inhouse testing lab that can perform cleaning process and chemcial testing for you. You can contact Jon Phelps, National Sales Manager at (800)454-2448. www.aat-corp.com Just my two cents.

Expensive: Adhesive Cleaning? | 24 August, 1998

| Does anyone have any recommendations for SMT Adhesive and Solder Paste Cleaning Systems? We are looking for a complete system of Chemical, Equipment, etc... Utrasonics are the only technology for my money that offer any hope of removing this tacky goo. Systems can get expensive to own when you are forced to buy the same vendors chemistry twice a month. The ultrasonics are what do the job for you, systems are expensive but coming down in price. Features to look for: Stainless steel construction everywhere, the cabinettes can rust quickly in this heated humid environment. On board filtration allows reuse of chemistry extending life. Most systems make use of evaporators for chemistry disposal. I liked what I saw from Blackstone at Nepcon, Check 'em out at www.pmrsystems.com regards, Steve
