Greetings, I would like to do a height calibration, because the laser of the machine seems to be out of control, I'll explain why: When I measure the height of a 0402 resistor, I get around -0.60 to -0.70, when I fix it on what the machines has measured, and resume production, I can see that its not being picked up and the components are on a tape near the next component, but when I switch to -0.4, it suddenly picks it up without any issue for the rest of the day.

Also, because of that, I cannot use automatic height calibration on new setups.

Any ideas?

It seems like your Juki RS-1R machine's laser height calibration may be off. When measuring a 0402 resistor, it consistently reports heights around -0.60 to -0.70, causing pickup issues during production. Manually adjusting it to -0.4 temporarily resolves the problem, but this isn't a sustainable solution. To address this, consider checking and cleaning the laser sensor, ensuring it's not obstructed or contaminated. Additionally, inspect the calibration settings, and if needed, recalibrate the laser system using the manufacturer's guidelines or consult their technical support. Proper calibration should enable accurate component detection and automatic height calibration for new setups.
