Recommendation for Selective soldering machine | 9 June, 2023

Hi,

my company is interested in possibly purchasing a selective solder machine. We are low volume, high mix and looking for machine that is easy to use and quick to set up. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Regardless of what you choose, pay particular attention on the support they offer. Location of manufacturer/distributor office to be in a couple hours of driving distance, so if there is a problem, they can reach you quickly.

We use Inertec - no major problems in 3 years of activity. Easy programming, interface is a bit complicated and not user friendly, but once you get going there is no stopping. You'll need compressed air, N2, and 380V for this. My location is UK.

Regards, Tom

Hi, been following your requests for a while, Ovens are our specialties and are manufactured in our warehouse. 3 years warranty supported. For mounter alone, we can support multiple choices based on your requests, plus the selective oven, I think you can get a package offer that's great.

I have been very happy with Pillarhouse. Exact model for you would depend a lot on batch vs inline. We are using the Jade Prodex.

I will add, we also use Pillarhouse and their machines are solid; great little machines for their cost at least.

BUT their service is quite subpar unfortunately. It's a small team that services N/A so availability and overall support is lacking. I would also personally stay away from their Nitrogen generators and go with a third party such as parker. We have had two units with issues.
