Dedicated stencil printer tooling | 26 April, 2023

I'm looking to make dedicated tooling for my mpm stencil printer. We only make 3 different boards and they are the same size panel so I'm planning to make one bit of tooling for them. One board is 0.6 mm and sometimes I have problems with it not being clamped perfectly then sticking to the stencil when it's meant to an snap off.

Has anyone got advice for making dedicated tooling? I'm planning to machine it from aluminum. Should I use any form of gasket? Should I gasket off PTH? Anyone got photos of something that works well for them?

This machines support table looks similar to AP and UP machines. I believe MPM published the dimensions of the "H" tower that the dedicated plates bolts to. As far as the plate, they are typically (2) pieces with the inside hollowed out to allow for vacuum. The top part of the plate would have holes drilled that allow the vacuum to pull the board down during print.

If everything is proper, no gaskets are required.
