Why doesn't money grow on trees. I have always wondered this?

They are great machines with massive third party support for consumables!

Sorry, I forgot how idiotic the questions sounds when I post them and got well served with the replies... :( Old mounters work so let it work baby, just as sells would wonder how to properly pitch in you know? I for one would always check what's the target client's current machine settings and the major product before making contact, so the real question should be, during which circumstances machine proposals would be more appreciated?

From the Sales perspective all machinery dealers were worth knowing and if they turned up on my doorstep, I was always up for a chat and I would gladly share what they wanted to know. As I was always interested in collecting information for the time I would be making new purchases.

My father worked for about 10 years as a Sales Rep for a Agriculture machinery firm. He knew all the farmers in the quarter of the state that was his area. Including all those with competing dealerships. He did this by travelling all the back roads and knocking on every door, and knowing beforehand who he was meeting. My faher was very social and more organised han me! Part of his strategy was always to have something to talk to the farmer about, that they would be interested in and to mention that to the farmer in his evening sales calls. These times were spaced from 1 to 3 weeks when a farmer expressed an interest in a new/secondhand item. One new sale could lead to a resale of an item that had been bought in to be resold either directly or with refurbishment etc. My old sales teacher taught me that sales is like juggling, keep ayour balls in the air and know where to land them.

How true, and thanks for your sharing, it's very touching and inspirational. I have been doing business with many customers across the world and with many products. they do say forget your job title, everyone is in sales... ..., that makes everyone a customer too though, like survivals from bombing, we too suffer from the overflow of information, sales send out 10,000 messages every day, 1 gram of considerations & thought spread into 10,000 emails and if you try to be sincere & thoughtful reach out to a potential customer, guess what? Thee are victims of thy own brewing poison, customers no longer want to waste time hearing proposals and offers, and they keep coming in anyway, not complaining though, I do believe the good old knowing your customer before making contact, throwing in some topic they really concern about and then provide solutions, it's better and it will work out just fine.
