SPI Validation? | 4 January, 2023

Has anyone ever created a validation process for their SPI? I recently took over the programming of our Kohyoung spi's and was asked how do I know the settings I set are correct. The only answer I had was visual inspection under a scope and the settings I use are the ones I was trained to use as a starting point. I have been thinking this over and have not come up with anything better.

Hi, I think this can only be done by a lab analysis by the machine supplier + a calibration tool they give you and you do a repeated number of measurements periodically. Or you can just call the service engineers out and they do it themselves. You should be handed a document of calibration and measurement which shows you the requested information. Sounds like somebody from quality department wants to give you a hard time.

Many printer manufacturers use CeTaQ's tools for machine verification. They have a SPI board. It may be the a solution for you.
