Our RD-1 vapor phase is in need of new heater gaskets. Does anyone where these can be procured or what the material is?

In the automotive industry there has been a swing away from gaskets and a movement to high temp resistant sealing compounds. In all probability your original gasket would have been viton for high temp O-rings. So if that is the case the replacement are fairly easily located at Bearing/Industrial suppliers. If a flat gasket then use again a high temp sealent again from Bearing/Industrial suppliers or Automotive suppliers.

To add to that we once had to replace the gaskets in a very old oven. We couldn't find any so we used a high temperature sealant. And then realized that they weren't gaskets originally, it was originally sealed with high temperature sealant. After it cured it looked like a gasket but the give away on the old ones was that some had a bit of flash material.
