hi , need help please with my DEK Horizon 03i , we trying to programme a longboard 600mm on the printer and board lengh on our printer is limited to 510mm . I checked on the hardware eve thing is ok but in the software we don't have the longboard option . I called DEK sales department and they want me to pay 5000$ only to register the machine prior to sale me the option license for he longboard option . did someone knows more about this or other solution instate of passing trough the registration fee. thanks for any help.

Gotta love this industry eh? Not many others would allow this type of business practice to be so commonplace. $5K to allow you to use something already on your machine. Sad.. Though, I guess Tesla has that business model as well..

Even worse than that, $5K for registration to have the privilege of paying another $2K for a software switch to enable the existing hardware... It is a joy!!!

LOL! I don't think it will change until we (CMs) actually start pushing back on these companies. Nutek charged me $100 for a 100 page PDF of a conveyor last year..

Older machine models (Horizon / Infinity) allowed you to offset the board stop (thru crative programming) to run the larger board with parameters for the smaller board. That feature is eliminated with the Micron series. However, if you can get remote board stop hardware (not aware of any currently on used market), you can accomplish the same thing with creative programming and limitations on fiducial positions.

I bought a used Nutek conveyor and needed to reverse the flow direction. I paid $100 for a 1 page PDF that just told me to reverse the wires on the motor.

This is why I don't like DEK, I had better experiences with MPM. Its much better operating and using machines when you dont hate the manufacturer and feel like they are trying to rip you off every chance they get.
