Does anyone know of any good software that i can use to create SMT inspection drawings idealy from a gerber file.

We use Aegis Industrial Software's CircuitCAM. It's a powerful tool, and one that we feel is well worth the money. Assembly drawings (and machine programs) can be created from CAD, Gerbers, ASCII Centroid data, or even a digital scan of the board image.

We do not receive any incentives from Aegis for this endorsement.
