My K-Mart Blue-light Special washer baskets...

My K-Mart Blue-light Special washer baskets... | 22 April, 1999

Hey ya'll!

I just wanted to give you a picture of the washer baskets I made to show how simple they are to make (and I wanted to try out my new digital camera too).

The picture shows a basket I made in about 15-minutes and with about $1.99 worth of materials. This is one we've been using here for around a year...don't look too beat-up do it?

The little boards in there are the little dongles we build here...pain in the butt board I must say. Only about an inch square, double-sided SMT, and we gotta hand solder that connector on. The thing comes in a decent sized panel now (after I whined), but the first time we built it it was in a 99-up panel! With all the routing each board had (so it can fit inside this little case) the panel was like a big piece of taffy! What a royal pain that was!

Anyways, I just wanted to show ya' my wash baskets so you can see that you really don't need to spend big bucks for em'...

Seriously though the camera takes a good picture.

Steve:

Nice looking Buck 99 basket. Good to know some people are using what they already have and not waiting for management to provide a budget to purchase mega-buck items.

That way you can go out and buy nice digital cameras' etc. Now start working with the pic software and size the picture, add remarks, use something in the picture to show size, on and on.

What brand of camera did you buy Steve? I have looked at them, but each time I sort-of back off due to the cost and not sure if I would use it enough to justify the cost.

Early on I purchased one, but did not like the quality of the pictures and limited software at the time so I took it back.

have a good one.
