Christopher Associates Inc., the exclusive distributor of OTC solder masks in North America, introduces Onstatic Technology Corp.’s (OTC) R-500 WH White LPI Solder Mask, designed specifically for LED lighting applications.

OTC, one of the world’s leading solder mask suppliers, has ISO-9000 certified manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and China, and is the leading supplier of solder masks to the Chinese market. R-500 WH is formulated for excellent color retention and high reflectance through multiple heat excursions, IR reflow cycles and UV exposures. It also is resistant to chipping and cracking on thin flexible substrates that are used in some LED designs. These properties are critical for meeting the demanding requirements for LED boards.

Like all of OTC’s solder masks, R-500 WH meets all industry standards for solder masks, including IPC SM-840C specifications, RoHS, REACH, UL 94V-0 flammability rating and various global end-users’ environmental certifications. It can be applied by screen printing or spraying, and has wide operating windows for processing. Additionally, R-500 WH will withstand all current metal surface finishes, such as ENIG and immersion tin.
