The LPKF ProtoLaser U allows A-Laser to quickly, cleanly and accurately cut or structure the most diverse materials.

The LPKF ProtoLaser U allows A-Laser to quickly, cleanly and accurately cut or structure the most diverse materials.

A-Laser, a division of FCT Assembly and a premier laser cutting service specializing in the ablation of ultra-thin metals and plastics, recently purchased a ProtoLaser U from LPKF for laser micromaterial processing. The ProtoLaser U is a useful developmental tool that will help A-Laser to increase its capacity.

"The ProtoLaser U will play a vital role in streamlining our prototyping process and adds needed capacity for our production group," commented Josh Saunders, VP of the A-Laser division.

The LPKF ProtoLaser U allows A-Laser to quickly, cleanly and accurately cut or structure the most diverse materials. The ProtoLaser U's comprehensive materials library provides the laser parameters for primary materials throughout the process. Additionally, the ProtoLaser U offers no-contact operation and can process almost any type of material with its integrated UV laser.

Coupled with the latest technologies, A-Laser has the ability to provide same-day quotes and 24-hour turnaround. The company provides high cutting edge precision and position accuracy (±0005"), fine contours and virtually radius-free internal edges (<20 µm beam), and contact-free material processing to prevent material distortion.

A-Laser is the precision parts division of FCT Assembly. The company began in 1994 to serve the northwest stencil and precision parts market. In 2006, A-Laser was brought into the FCT Assembly family of companies to focus specifically on the precision parts industry, but now at a national and international level.
