The award was presented to the company during a Wednesday, April 13, 2011 ceremony that took place at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center in Las Vegas during the 2011 IPC APEX EXPO.

Kirby & Demarest was founded in 1973 by Dave Demarest as Demarest Associates and has been serving the Pacific Northwest Microelectronic community ever since.
