Qual-Pro achieves UL 508A certification; can now build UL certified electrical panels

Mar 14, 2011

Qual-Pro Corporation, an industry leading electronics manufacturing service provider for high-reliability, mission-critical electronics, today announced that the company was awarded UL 508A certification.

"Coupled with our other quality certifications, this achievement strengthens our ability to provide mission-critical electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies to our customers. UL 508A certification is part of our differentiated service offering to customers. We are now able to build UL certified enclosures for a large variety of commercial, industrial and military applications", said Rich Fitzgerald, Qual-Pro's Chief Operating Officer.

UL508A certification means the company can build UL certified industrial control panel enclosures and industrial control panels for many uses including the safe storage and enclosure of:

  • Fuel equipment

  • Elevator control equipment

  • Crane equipment

  • Hoist control equipment

  • Service equipment

  • Marine equipment

  • Air conditioning equipment

  • Refrigeration equipment

Industrial machinery including:

  • Metalworking machines

  • Power press controls

  • Plastic injection molding machinery

This equipment typically consists of assemblies of two or more power circuit components, such as motor controllers, overload relays, fused disconnect switches and circuit breakers. Alternatively, it might consist of control circuit components such as pushbuttons, pilot lights, selector switches, timers and control relays, or a combination of power and control circuit components, with associated wiring and terminals.
