Mr. Guertin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Varian Medical Systems, a global manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions, and a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to becoming CEO in February 2006, he held various executive positions at Varian during his 35-year tenure, including Chief Operating Officer, and General Manager and President of Varian's Oncology Systems business. Mr. Guertin holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California at Berkeley.
