X-Line Assets and SMT Community Raise over $100,000 to Benefit LIVESTRONG Foundation in Online Auction

Sep 21, 2010

X-Line Assets has just successfully completed an online auction with the proceeds benefiting Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG Foundation. This first of it’s kind event raised over $100,000.00 for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.

The “Industrial Strength” Equipment Charity Online Auction was the idea of former Speedline Technologies Executive Jeff Mogensen. His tireless work generated equipment donations from many of the SMT equipment manufacturers including: Speedline Technologies, Vitronics Soltec, Juki, KIC thermal profiling, Schleuniger, Air-Vac Engineering, Quicktool, ITM Consulting, Cardinal Circuit and Lewis and Clark. Additional marketing support was donated by PCB007, Circuits Assembly, and Circuitnet.

It was incredible to watch the SMT Community come together donating equipment, marketing and time to this project,” said Jeff Mogensen. “I believe more than ever that we can and will make a difference in the fight against cancer.

With the donation of over 25 pieces of equipment, over 50 bidders and over $100,000 generated for Livestrong, this was one of the first of its kind developed from within the SMT Community.

CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY couldn’t be more proud of its affiliation with the many companies that made this special event possible,” said Mike Buetow, Editor in Chief.

With so many of us touched by cancer negatively in our lives, it made sense to run this online auction on the behalf of LIVESTRONG,” explained X-Line Assets Partner Andrew Joos. “This is just the first one for us. Our goal is to continue our work with Mr. Mogensen making this an annual event in our industry. It really felt great to give back.”

Jeff Mogensen, the LIVESTRONG Foundation and X-Line Assets would like to thank all those who donated equipment, donated marketing exposure and bid on equipment.

The next online auction benefitting the LIVESTRONG Foundation will be conducted in 2011 with donations being accepted now.
