Panasonic Factory Solutions Moves To New Facilities

Sep 14, 2010

September 14, 2010 – Rolling Meadows, IL – Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America has moved into a new dedicated demonstration and training facility in Buffalo Grove, IL and offices in nearby Rolling Meadows, IL.

The larger custom showroom located at 1000 Asbury Drive in Buffalo Grove will host productivity solutions demos for electronics assembly, microelectronics, and welding and robotics in several industrial market applications. Training classes for the company’s capital equipment and manufacturing execution system (MES) software will be held in the new facility as well as metrology analysis.

The relocation of operational offices to Rolling Meadows coincides with the merging of office space with other Midwestern-based Panasonic division and affiliate companies to enhance synergies within the Panasonic brand.

“We have a unique opportunity here to have a dedicated demonstration and training facility and to work more closely with other Panasonic business units, such as Panasonic Industrial Company, to provide a broader range of solutions to our customers – all while staying in a convenient location near O’Hare Airport and other industrial corporations," stated Tom Gebhardt, President, Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America.

Gebhardt articulated, "There are great synergies between factory automation (Panasonic Factory Solutions) and industrial components and devices (Panasonic Industrial Company). Customers use our surface mount, pin-through-hole, and microelectronic equipment to build their products - and they also use our components and electrical devices within them. What's more, our industrial equipment domains develop and support all Panasonic’s domains by manufacturing and/or placing devices and components for final end products. This

translates to an incredible value proposition incorporating everything from the vertical integration of our product breadth to R&D, expertise, and quality end products."

With the move, phone and technical assistance phone numbers will change. As of September 20th, the Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America main line will be 1.847.637.9600 and technical support specialists will be reachable at 1.847.637.9700.
