A-Laser Receives ITAR Registration

SAN JOSE, CA — A-Laser, a division of FCT Assembly and a premier laser cutting service specializing in the ablation of ultra-thin metals and plastics, announces that it has received the official International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registration from the US Department of State, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. This registration documents A-Laser’s dedication to adhering to the regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List.

ITAR regulations were designed to control the information and materials of military-related technologies and ensure that military technologies are only shared with US persons unless approval from the Department of State is received via a special exemption. The registration of a company to comply with ITAR regulations allows them to work in conjunction with the US military, and expresses the company’s obligation to handle ITAR-protected products according to all regulations.

To qualify for ITAR registration, A-Laser met strict requirements for corporate structure, security, record keeping, and procedures for handling of sensitive military and intelligence applications.
