Valor MSS Software Suite for PCB Assembly from Mentor Graphics Wins 2010 Vision Award

APEX 2010, Las Vegas, Nev. - Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) today announced that it has received the 2010 Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Vision Award for the Valor® MSS manufacturing systems solution suite for PCB assembly. The company received the award in the category of MES/ERP/PLM/QMS Process Control and Traceability Software. Mentor’s Valor Division was formerly Valor Computerized Systems, Ltd. Dan Weitzman, Americas regional business manager for the Valor division, accepted the award at the SMT Vision Awards ceremony on April 5 during APEX 2010, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center.

The SMT Vision Awards program, celebrating its 18th year, is an annual event recognizing product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Selection of candidates is based on outstanding examples of creative advancements in technology in specific areas chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.

“The introduction of the Valor MSS software suite to the market represents a significant step forward for process preparation and manufacturing control in the electronics assembly market,” stated Weitzman. “We are pleased to accept this SMT Vision award in recognition of that achievement.”

vCheck - a complete PCB quality management solution with AOI/ICT direct interfaces, enforced WIP tracking, repair loop monitoring and control, paperless factory, including synchronized delivery of detailed work instructions for board and system level assembly, and full quality data collection with a business intelligence infrastructure, enabling Web based dynamic reporting for full system genealogy.
