P.D. Circuits’ Inspection Team Updates IPC-A-600 Certification

Nov 19, 2009

HAMPSTEAD, N.H. - November 2009 - P.D. Circuits, Inc., specializing in delivering the highest quality PCBs, technical support, and service to OEM and EMS companies worldwide, announces that six members of its inspection team, along with the company’s Process Engineering Manager, have been recertified to the IPC-A-600 specification.

The recertification testing was conducted at P. D. Circuits’ Shenzhen office by Microtek Laboratories’ Changzhou, China office. The recertification is valid for two years. P. D. Circuits’ entire China and U.S. Quality departments maintain IPC-A-600 certification.

For many years, the IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards document has set the standard for PCB/PWB workmanship quality. The IPC-A-600 gives comprehensive acceptance criteria with full color illustrations and photographs showing all types of printed board surface and internal conditions. Because of its importance to both the PWB manufacturer and assembler, IPC-A-600 has become one of the most widely recognized and used documents ever published by IPC.

IPC developed the IPC-A-600 Training and Certification Program to promote a consistent body of knowledge regarding printed board end product requirements to all segments of the electronic interconnection industry.
