Valor’s vCheck Wins a 2009 Global Technology Award

Nov 11, 2009

Munich — November 2009 — Valor Computerized Systems Europe announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of Software for its vCheck Quality Management System. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, November 10, 2009 ceremony that took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Center in Munich, Germany.

vCheck was developed to provide visibility, traceability, and defect data collection and analysis to electronic manufacturers for their PCB assembly process, from bare board serialization to final system assembly. vCheck includes alarms and Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) trigger points to help continuously reduce Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) in the manufacturing process. The software is designed to increase profitability and customer satisfaction by making all aspects of quality testing and inspection visible to any decision maker in real-time.

vCheck fully integrates into each customer’s manufacturing and test environment, collecting data from test and repair stations including visual inspection stations, AOI, AXI, ATE, and functional test equipment. All collected information is captured into one centralized database. Using the consolidated data, which can be cross linked into other data sources via built in APIs, vCheck enables easy pinpointing of problems and discovery of root cause. vCheck also includes closed loop repair station capability with intelligent diagnostic guidance from its knowledge base, providing significant reductions in the time it takes to analyze test issues and streamline repairs. In addition, vCheck provides capability for real-time WIP tracking at user selected manufacturing locations. As a result, vCheck provides real-time visibility to quality and WIP information for immediate review and action, if necessary.

vCheck can stand alone, or function as an integral part of DynamiX, Valor’s new fully integrated manufacturing execution suite for PCB assembly. DynamiX will be unveiled at the Productronica show.

Premiering in 2005, the Global Technology Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.
