Multitest to Exhibit Latest Technologies at SEMICON Taiwan

Aug 19, 2009

Rosenheim, Germany — August 2009 — Multitest, a designer and manufacturer of final test handlers, contactors and load boards used by integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and final test subcontractors worldwide, announces that it will feature the MT2168 system, test socket solutions, and ATE board design services in booth 2602 at the upcoming SEMICON Taiwan exhibition, scheduled to take place September 30-October 2, 2009 at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taipei, Taiwan.

Due to its flexibility and favorable cost structure, MT2168 is the perfect “one-for-all” platform. MT2168 is ideal for integrated device manufacturers, as well as subcontractors and a range of applications.

MT2168 optimizes test cell utilization in final test. The MT2168 is a unique, industry leading and well-accepted system. The benchmark system offers a significant cost of test advantage based on optimized test cell efficiency, unprecedented configurability, and highest manufacturing reliability.

ECT and Multitest have merged to provide the broadest test socket portfolio in the market. The portfolio includes contacting solutions for all handler types, leaded and lead-free packages, array and in-line packages, in addition to small pitch devices down to 0.25 mm, and singulated test, strip test and WLCSP.

The test socket portfolio covers the widest scope of applications for the full temperature range from -60° to 200°C. The portfolio accomodates bandwidths up to 40 GHz, high power/high current up to 1,000 A and KELVIN test sockets.

Multitest’s design and manufacturing resources are solely dedicated to ATE board design. State-of-the-art production equipment and the long-term experience of Harbor Electronics, Inc. ensure reliable on-time delivery and industry leading quality for advanced applications such as 0.4 mm pitch.

Harbor’s well-established production process allows Multitest to avoid sequential lamination even for high-layer count boards. Captive fabrication and assembly facilities ensure seamless and accurate transition from design to manufacturing.
