Europlacer to Hold Free Three-Day Process/Productivity Improvement Seminar

DORSET, UNITED KINGDOM - May 2009 - Blakell Europlacer Ltd., a designer and manufacturer of comprehensive SMT placement systems for the global electronics industry, announces that it will be holding a free Process/Productivity Improvement Week seminar, scheduled to take place July 15-17, 2009 at the company's headquarters located in Poole, Dorset.

During the improvement week, Europlacer will feature a live production line comprised of the following equipment:

  • Speedprint � Stencil Printer

  • SAKI � 3D Inspection System & Automated Optical Inspection System

  • Europlacer � iineo Placement System

  • HEXI � Reflow System

  • Aegis � CAD/CAM System

In addition to the production line, there will presentations from several keynote speakers as follows: Andrew Clarke, European Business Manager for AIM Solder Paste, will give a presentation on Solder Paste Inspection. Tony Weldon, Stencil Division Manager at TECAN Ltd., will speak about Stencil Design Considerations. Tobias Van Rossem, European Sales Manager at SAKI Corp., will discuss automatic optical inspection. Finally, Dan Walls, European Managing Director of Aegis Corp., will provide strategies for process improvement for Software Solutions.

While the presentations are ongoing, the live line will be available for attendees to join the production area for workshops. During these informal workshops, attendees are invited to discuss the various key parts of the processes with the relevant industry experts.
