In his new position, Mr. Rutherford will focus on fine tuning the CyberOptics Inspection Systems business unit sales and marketing efforts. His immediate tasks are to successfully launch the new SE500 SPI to the market, and to develop an effective global sales and marketing strategy that will lead the company to its growth and profitability goals.

Mr. Rutherford has been with CyberOptics for more than eight years. His previous role at the company was as Director of Sales in Asia, where he was responsible for CyberOptics' Asia sales, applications, and customer service and support at the Shanghai and Singapore locations. Prior to his career at CyberOptics, he was the Asia Sales Director for Entegris a semiconductor related company, where he was based in Minnesota, USA and Tokyo, Japan.
