Rehm Thermal Systems to showcase convection and condensation soldering innovation at APEX 2009

Jan 28, 2009

The team at Rehm Thermal Systems is preparing to take its range of innovative convection and condensation soldering systems to this year's APEX exhibition, being held in Las Vegas over March 31st April 2nd. Visitors to the show will be able to see the company's Condensation Soldering System Condenso Vacuum and Convection Soldering System Vision XS Series demonstrated on Booth 2032.

As visitors to the Rehm Thermal Systems booth will discover, the Condenso Soldering System is an advanced condensation reflow soldering solution equipped to handle the complex demands of lead-free solder alloys for PCBs with a large thermal mass. Offering a wide range of advantages over traditional vapor phase soldering systems, Condenso delivers extremely effective thermal transfer due to the even release of heat during condensation and the perfectly constant temperature of the medium. The specific boiling point limits Condenso's maximum soldering temperature, preventing damage by overheating. Subjecting the molten solder to a vacuum, Condenso enables remaining residues and gas inclusions to easily escape to guarantee void-free soldering with lead-free solders.

The team from Rehm Thermal Systems will also be showcasing the innovative Vision Series convection reflow soldering equipment, another future-proofing system delivering reliable, repeatable soldering results. Available with either an air or nitrogen atmosphere, the VisionX Series also incorporates an integrated residue management system that includes the company's new Rehm Pyrolysis technology in the heat zones. The virtually maintenance-free Pyrolysis splits long molecular chains into shorter ones to reduce the amount of condensable waste and unwanted dripping within the process chamber. The result is efficient and environmentally friendly disposal of contamination and increased user productivity.

As the only global soldering equipment supplier who can deliver Condensation and Convection Soldering Systems from the same company, Rehm Thermal Systems is helping our customers achieve substantially greater levels of productivity with advanced technologies as Apex visitors will soon discover! explains Rehm Chief Commercial Officer Marc Dalderup. Thermally demanding and complex products, particularly next-generation lead-free conversions, will stress the capabilities of most existing reflow processes. At Rehm, we've answered this challenge; which is why Apex visitors will be able to see some of the world's most advanced Convection and Condensation Soldering Systems on Booth 2032.
