Kyzen to Present SMTA-Sponsored Electronics Assembly Cleaning Webinar

Nov 24, 2008

NASHVILLE November 2008 Kyzen, a world leading provider of environmentally responsible precision cleaning products for electronics and high-technology manufacturing operations, announces that Mike Bixenman and Tom Forsythe will present the Webinar Electronics Assembly Cleaning Problems, Root Causes, and Options for Resolution on December 3, 2008 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. EST.

Electronics assembly process engineers face numerous challenges with the drive toward miniaturization, lead-free, and reliability. When the cleaning process fails to operate per design standards, it can lead to production inefficiencies. The topic of this presentation focuses on process issues centered on equipment and cleaning effects. Common cleaning equipment issues include foaming in the wash and rinse, containment, control of wash chemistry, and ventilation. White residue issues are features of the soil, wash chemistry, wash time, wash temperature, mechanical delivery of the wash chemistry and up-stream processing conditions. The Webinar will discuss each of these cleaning problems, identify root causes, and provide options for resolution.

Mike Bixenman is a co-founder of Kyzen as well as the company's Chief Technology Officer. He jointly holds electronics cleaning fluid compositional and process patents. Mike has published numerous technical papers on the topic of electronic cleaning. He holds four earned degrees including a Doctorate of Business Administration.

Tom Forsythe is a world-recognized expert in cleaning chemistries and processes. Tom has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics & Engineering from the US Naval Academy, his Naval Aviator designation as a Helicopter Pilot, and a Master's of Business Administration from Boston University. He is well published in both the industry trade publications and technical forums. Tom has spent the last 15 years with Kyzen in Nashville, TN where he is Vice President
