PCB Solutions Inc Increases Technology Lines

Jun 03, 2008

PCB Solutions Inc, an Electronic Manufacturing Service in Layton, Utah, has announced the addition of new SMT equipment which features the latest in Assembleon Pick-and-Place technology. With the recent trend of many of the industry's leading Original Electronics Manufacturers outsourcing within the U.S, the young and growing company will further position itself as a capable and quality solution for high-mix/low-volume PCB Assembly runs.

Manufacturing Vice-President Joe Otterstrom said that the "addition of the Assembleon machine is very exciting. We're now able to effectively automate low-volume runs and ensure the quality that is the foundation of our reputation. These new machines are literally the cutting-edge of Surface Mount Technology and our capacity to serve high-mix/low-volume customers just increased dramatically."

For over a decade, Contract Electronics Manufacturers and Printed Circuit Board Assembly companies have thrived mainly in China. As the electronics industry has grown, more and more OEMs have looked for local solutions for their outsourcing needs. PCB Solutions Inc of Layton, Utah, has been able to capitalize on this trend by positioning themselves as a highly customer-focused, quality-oriented manufacturing service. They have experienced unprecedented growth and are well on-track to experience triple-digit sales growth again in 2008.

President and Owner Dave Woodbury remarked, "We know we have to be committed to our mandate to offer quality, cost-effective services that incorporate the latest in available PCBA Technology. I believe the addition of this new equipment will really set us apart from other outsourcing services in our area."

Steve Niblack, Vice-President of Operations stated that "anytime we're able to increase our production and our capacity by adding new equipment, it's a win for our customers too. New technology in this industry makes it possible to offer quality and cost-savings to a broader range of OEMs that need outsourcing. Whether it be SMT, thru-hole, box build or other services, we want our customers to know that as they grow and develop over time, we'll be here for them. We have to continue to offer the latest in industry technology."
