Agilent Technologies' DC Power Analyzer Wins Additional Industry Awards

May 03, 2008

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that its N6705A DC Power Analyzer has won five more industry awards, bringing the total to seven industry awards since this product was introduced in May 2007. Leading industry publications give these awards to acknowledge the unique contribution a product or service makes in the market.

The latest awards won by Agilent DC Power Analyzer are:

  • Test & Measurement World's 2008 Test Product of the Year Award;

  • EE Time's 2008 Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Ultimate Product Award;

  • International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) 2008 Design Vision Award;

  • EDN 2007 Innovation Award; and

  • Electronic Products' 2007 Product of the Year Award (China Edition).

"Every year, the difficulty of technical challenges increases, the pressures of schedule, cost and energy efficiency grow, and the resources available to design teams dwindle," said Ron Wilson, executive director of EDN Worldwide. "That makes the achievements of this year's EDN Innovation Award winners all the more impressive. Selected by their peers in the design community for their outstanding results, these innovators stand in the front rank of the best and brightest electronics engineering has to offer."

The DC Power Analyzer consistently won over other innovative, highly competitive entries in a broad array of product categories. The Agilent N6705A DC Power Analyzer stands out as an innovative product that provides R&D engineers test insights in minutes, not hours. It has unrivaled productivity gains when sourcing and measuring DC voltage and current into a device under test (DUT). Using this product, R&D engineers can gain insights into the DUT's power consumption in minutes -- without writing a single line of code, represents an entirely new instrument category for R&D engineers.

A highly integrated instrument, the Agilent N6705A DC Power Analyzer combines up to four advanced DC power supplies, DMM, oscilloscope, arbitrary waveform generator and data logger. It also provides an easy-to-use interface, with all sourcing and measuring functions available from the front panel.

Pricing starts at $6,500 and is ready to accept from one to four DC power modules, totaling up to 600W. DC power modules range from $450 to $2,250 per module. For customers in the defense industry who are concerned about USB security, the N6705A has an option to remove the USB interface.
