Green Manufacturing Expo (GMX) Introduced at the

Nation's Largest Design and Manufacturing Trade Events in 2008

Los Angeles, CA (June 5, 2007) – Canon Communications LLC, the leading producer of trade events serving the nation's $1 trillion advanced manufacturing marketplace, will introduce major exposition features in all four of its principal manufacturing trade events facilitating "Green" or sustainable manufacturing practices for U.S. manufacturers.

The four events, each including several synergistic co-located design and manufacturing shows, take place in the key centers of manufacturing around the country— Anaheim, CA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and Charlotte, NC. The shows together include 6,500 international, national and regional suppliers as exhibitors, occupy 1,200,000 net feet of exhibition space, and attract more than 100,000 design and manufacturing professionals from nearly 45,000 advanced manufacturing facilities around the country.

"The critical mass and reach of Canon's trade events allow us to effectively address industry issues like Green manufacturing on a broad scale," said the company's Chairman and CEO Charles G. McCurdy. "No other event producer reaches so many advanced manufacturing specialists, both in the U.S. and in Europe and China."

Green Manufacturing Expo is the first event of its kind in the U.S. The tradeshow will showcase the software, materials, products, and echnologies

that enable manufacturers to achieve "Sustainable Manufacturing"—defined by the International Trade Administration (ITA) as "The creation of manufactured products that use processes that are non-polluting, conserve energy and natural resources, are economically sound, and safe for employees, communities and consumers."

Moving from concept to reality in the short term, manufacturing giants such as IBM, GE, Dupont, Toyota, BP, BASF, Apple Computer, and a host of others are well underway with "Greening" their processes, resulting in significant and

measurable energy savings, reduced carbon emissions, and new economically favorable recycling and waste treatment methods.

Commenting on the new initiative, Kevin O'Keefe, VP Events at Canon Communications said "Green manufacturing is a growing reality and we need to provide U.S. manufacturers with all the necessary information and tools to take advantage of the latest products and technology to improve their processes. The economic benefit of ‘going Green' is very tangible in terms of reducing energy costs, improving recycling and treatment methods, getting ahead of the regulatory curve, and building customer good will. Simply put, selling Green works."

Green Manufacturing exhibitors will include leading design software providers; materials suppliers; wind, solar, and renewable energy systems manufacturers; energy management software providers; emission treatment equipment providers;

waste water treatment systems producers; industrial recycling equipment manufacturers; environmental R&D firms; consulting firms; and a range of related service providers.

The first Green Manufacturing Expo will take place January 29-31, 2008 at the Anaheim Convention Center co-located with Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West, Pacific Design & Manufacturing, Automation Technology Expo (ATX) West, Process Technology Expo (PTX) West, PLASTEC West, Electronics West, and WestPack. The combined events feature 3,000 exhibitors and already deliver an audience of over 40,000 design and manufacturing professionals.

Canon Communications LLC, a portfolio company of Apprise Media, produces tradeshows and conferences for both U.S. and international markets, including: Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M), MEDTEC, and BIOMEDevice; WestPack, EastPack, SouthPack, and MidPak; Atlantic Design & Manufacturing, Pacific Design & Manufacturing, and Design & Manufacturing South; Quality Expo and
