Now in its third year, the PC/104 Embedded Design Contest recognizes companies for their innovative use of PC/104, PC/104-Plus, PCI-104 and EBX computer technologies. Winners in three categories will be flown to the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in San Francisco in March 2005 to attend an awards ceremony in their honor. Winning projects will be showcased at the Conference and presented to members of the press. Entries will be judged in three categories:
1. Commercial for Industrial/Medical/Transportation/Other
2. Commercial for Military/Aerospace/COTS
3. Research Project
Two short essays must be submitted for each entry describing what the product does, how it is innovative, how unique design challenges were solved, and which PC/104 specifications were most critical in solving the problem. Entry requirements must be received by December 10, 2004 at 5:00pm Pacific Time to be eligible.
