the leader in productivity increasing engineering software solutions to the electronics design and manufacturing industry, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Jabil Circuit, Inc. a global top-tier Electronics Manufacturing Services provider. Trilogy 5000 will be implemented at a majority of Jabils manufacturing and service facilities located in Asia, Europe and the Americas to increase efficiencies in New Product Introduction (NPI), Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and assembly process optimization. This deal marks the largest software deployment in Valors corporate history and confirms Valors engineering software leadership position in the PCB assembly segment.
Jeff Cealey, Project Manager at Jabil in charge of the evaluation process for a new corporate wide assembly solution said, "Valors current technology along with its roadmap aligns with Jabils current and future goals for continually improving our CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) and DFM capabilities."
The engineering system selected by Jabil covers the full scope of the Trilogy 5000 assembly engineering solution for a fully integrated, efficient and more productive CAD to DFM to assembly process.
Chris Singleton, global Director for Manufacturing Engineering at Jabil said, We were impressed with Valors global presence, support structure, strong machine optimization and Manufacturing Process Simulation technology that will enable us to increase assembly line throughput and also allow us to integrate multiple assembly preparation processes around one solution. That will give us reductions in our line set-up times and machine changeovers. Mr. Singleton continued, Additional winning factors for
choosing Trilogy 5000 over alternative solutions were the ease of converting existing part data libraries across multiple platforms, best-in-class DFM verification technology and the automated generation of visual factory floor documentation.
Trilogy 5000 provides a field proven and coherent solution to handle the industrys growing demand for high-level DFM services, shorter NPI cycle times, improved utilization of production machinery and enhanced assembly line performance.
We will be able to accommodate customer ECNs easier and faster as well as provide a higher level of DFM service for customers, said Singleton Jabil expects Trilogy tools to reduce the engineering process time for new jobs. This is particularly important to our growing high-mix business and will enable us to accelerate new product introductions.
Ofer Shofman, President and CEO at Valor, views the Jabil agreement as a strong market indicator acknowledging Trilogy 5000 as the leading PCB assembly solution in the electronics industry. Valor is very pleased to be chosen by Jabil as their global partner for electronics assembly solutions.
Agreements of this magnitude confirm that we have the right product strategy to successfully reinforce our market position in the PCB assembly segment and to be recognized as the leading solution provider of PCB engineering tools to the electronics industry overall, concluded Shofman.
