Universal Instruments is recognised for its Advanced Process/Surface Mount Technology Laboratory located at the company's headquarters in Binghamton, NY, USA.
The SMT Lab was established in 1987 to identify and investigate current and emerging technologies in electronic circuit assembly.
Since that time, the SMT Lab has accumulated and applied an extensive body of practical knowledge to help Universal customers with full service process support.
In response to the rapid growth of the electronics industry in Asia, Universal has developed the Technology Excellence Centre in Suzhou, China.
These two labs will provide Universal's customers global access to advanced process expertise and the latest surface mount equipment.
Over the last 20 years, Asymtek has grown to become a world leader in automated fluid dispensing systems.
The Millennium 2020 is the advanced semiconductor packaging (ASPA) version of Asymtek's M-2000 series dispensing machines.
Typical applications include dam and fill using a dual valve bracket, and underfill.
The Millennium dispensers are high-performance machines capable of 50,000 dots per hour and are in production at some of the largest PCBA and semiconductor packaging houses in the industry.
