New EMS, Lightspeed Manufacturing, Opens for Business

Mar 11, 2003

(March 10, 2003) Methuen, Mass. -- Electronics manufacturing industry veteran and BGA specialist Rich Breault, whose previous enterprise NETCO Automation was known for its expertise in BGA services and prototype development, has founded a new EMS company, Lightspeed Manufacturing Inc.

Lightspeed has already shipped its first product, and has set up production in a new building with up to date facilities and equipment. Lightspeed will offer quick-turn BGA services including rework, reballing, inspection, ECOs and upgrades, for BGA, CGA, BGA and other similar component types. Keeping up with advancing trends in technology, Lightspeed will also offer optical fiber splicing, as well as traditional EMS PCB assembly services.

Well capitalized from the start, Breault took advantage of the recent economic downturn to purchase new and even unused top-of-the-line technology and equipment at incredibly low prices at auctions, etc. to furnish Lightspeed and provide the best workstations available, including soldering, reballing, X-ray inspection, reflow soldering, etc. at a fraction of their original cost.

Breault predicts that Lightspeed will quickly emerge as a high quality provider of electronics manufacturing services in the New England region, and expects to expand to other state of the art assembly services, to include through hole, hand assembly, box build and mechanical product assembly,
