(San Jose, CA), a provider of Web-based integrated plant systems (IPS), today announced that Flextronics Photonics (Hillsboro, OR), a business unit of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider Flextronics (San Jose, CA), has deployed Datasweep's Web-based manufacturing, repair and analysis solutions to provide visibility and quality assurance for the manufacture of optical components used in the telecommunications industry. Flextronics Photonics has deployed Datasweep in Portland, OR, and will soon be implementing the solution across global manufacturing sites worldwide.
Datasweep's solution automatically records all manufacturing, quality and device genealogy. This detailed, component-level traceability, combined with an integrated data mart, helps to improve yields and time-to-market via complex analytical tools and associated reports. This type of analysis identifies and resolves design and manufacturing issues in real-time. The solution interfaces with test equipment to collect data and integrate information collected on the manufacturing floor. Maintaining all test results, quality information and unit histories provides a complete product lifecycle management solution.
