March 26 -- Teradyne Connection Systems (Boston, MA) reached an agreement with Taconic (Petersburgh, NY) to co-manufacture and market Taconic's patent-pending �TacPreg� material for large format PCB applications.
�This agreement takes advantage of Teradyne's unique competences in high-layer-count, large-format PWB fabrication and epoxy-coating,'' vice president of Teradyne Tom Pursch said in a press release.
Manufacture of �TacPreg,� said to have a dissipation factor less than 0.005 at 10 GHz, will occur at Teradyne's La Verne, CA, facility and at Taconic's plants in Petersburgh, NY, and Mullingar, Ireland.
