The deal, valued at approximately $100 million, was announced in late October.
Orbiant, which provides telecom network installation and commissioning, will allow Flextronics to globally expand its Stockholm-based Network Services business by offering the services to other telecom companies.
"This business segment is changing drastically, and Flextronics Network Services will play a major role in this growing market," said Michael Marks, chairman and chief executive of the Singapore-based EMS provider, in a released statement.
Ronny Nilsson, president of Flextronics' Western Europe division, was named president of the Network Services unit. Orbiant's 5,400 employees are being integrated with Flextronics Network Services, which now employs 6,500 worldwide, according to the company.
