[April 25, 2017: New Bedford, MA] With the latest enhancement in SMART Human-Machine Interface (HMI) technologies and to better assist customers’ needs, Epec recently announced the hiring of Steve Goodman, the new User Interface Product Manager.

Steve is a Mechanical Engineer with a BS and an MBA both from Northeastern. Most recently he was running a startup manufacturer’s representative firm servicing the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets representing first class manufacturers of interconnects, cables, wire harnesses, rack mounted equipment, and board level components.

Prior to that, Steve was a Product Manager in the aerospace industry for two different companies for over seven years. His past responsibilities included driving sales growth and business development activities and leading the transition to production for development programs. Additionally, he has experience in implementing sales and marketing campaigns that introduced new sales tools and product literature for the outside sales staff as well as managing costing activities, quotes, proposal generation and submission, and working with customers to develop new products to meet their ever changing design requirements.

Ed McMahon, CEO of Epec added, “Steve is coming on board at the perfect time. We are seeing more and more customers transitioning from your standard style membrane switch to more user friendly SMART user interface solutions using newer technologies such as, capacitive touch, light guide films, embedded software and firmware, etc. Steve’s background and industry expertise is really going to help our customers in developing these products.”

Steve will be working closely with Epec’s Engineering Team to help drive new HMI projects ahead which will directly correlate to helping Epec’s customers get their products to market faster. Epec is consistently working to manufacture that eliminates risk and improves reliability.

With the recent expansion of Epec’s battery pack assembly space and the growing demand for high reliability human-machine interface products. Epec has set itself up with the flexibility to scale to compensate this continuing growth of new business opportunities with their Engineered Product solutions.

Epec’s customer first mentality and complete commitment to their employees has created immense financial stability. The solid stability allows Epec to participate in critical investments to leverage innovative technologies and hire world class talent.
