CyberOptics® Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBE) today announced that it was awarded a 2015 SMT China Vision Award in the category of Inspection & Testing-AOI for its SQ3000™ 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system. The award was presented to the company during an April 21, 2015 ceremony at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center during NEPCON China.
“We are extremely gratified to receive two consecutive awards at NEPCON China for the newly-launched SQ3000 3D AOI system,” said Dr. Subodh Kulkarni, CEO of CyberOptics. “During the conceptualization phase, we envisioned a 3D AOI solution that would redefine standards in terms of speed, precision and high fidelity 3D images. And, with a combination of Multi-Reflection Suppression (MRS) technology, architecturally superior 3D sensors and sophisticated image fusing algorithms, we have successfully realized our vision for 3D AOI. I would like to congratulate and thank the whole team at CyberOptics for their relentless efforts in developing and launching a 3D AOI system that will maximize ROI and line utilization.”
The SQ3000™ 3D AOI system maximizes ROI and line utilization with multi-view 3D sensors that capture and transmit data simultaneously, and in parallel, enabling the fastest 3D inspection in the industry. The MRS technology inside combined with the highly sophisticated 3D fusing algorithms offers microscopic image quality at production speeds. An easy-to-use, intuitive interface with touch control facilitates minimal training and operator interaction.
SMT China magazine launched the SMT China Vision Awards in 2007 to recognize both international and domestic providers of SMT equipment, materials, software and services that have made outstanding contributions to the rapid growth of China's electronics manufacturing industry by their inventions and innovations.
