BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing and alternative energy markets, will exhibit in Booth #7-421 at SMT Hybrid Packaging, scheduled to take place May 5-7, 2015, in Nuremberg, Germany. Company representatives will highlight the proven PYRAMAX™ and the award winning DYNAMO™ convection reflow ovens, both equipped with the new ENERGY PILOT software, designed to reduce the consumption of electrical power and process gas.
"Through our Energy Pilot platform, we are committed to continuously improve cost of ownership for our customers,” said Jim Griffin, vice president of sales and service for BTU. “The PYRAMAX is the benchmark for performance in the industry, and now with lower operating costs,” added Griffin.
The PYRAMAX features a maximum temperature of 400°C and a comprehensive menu of options. BTU’s DYNAMO’s simplified configuration delivers 24/7, with 8, 10, and 12 zone air or nitrogen models available. The reflow ovens represent BTU quality and reliability and are backed by BTU’s unparalleled worldwide service and applications team.
ENERGY PILOT is a feature in the latest release of BTU’s windows-based WINCON™ operating system. The ENERGY PILOT software saves manufacturers money whenever the oven is idle. Standby mode can save over 25 percent. Sleep mode can be used for longer interruptions saving more than 40 percent. Long idle periods fully shut down the oven using hibernate mode. Recovery times are minimized using remote product sensors and SMEMA. Operation is fully automatic and results in an overall reduction in electrical, air and nitrogen consumption. The feature is easily upgradeable on older BTU reflow ovens.
