Libra Industries, a privately held electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, recently hosted its 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament at its Mentor, OH and Willoughby, OH facilities. 24 teams competed at the Mentor facility and 12 teams competed at the Willoughby facility for the two cornhole trophies and two $250 donations to the charity of their choice.

At Libra Industries – Mentor, the Kernel Smashers, Bruce McKee, Program Manager and Clayton Carr, Production Manager, came in first place. McKee and Carr will donate their $250 winnings to ALS, in efforts to help fight this terrible disease. On the other side of town at Libra Industries – Willoughby, the Corn Dawgs, Bryan Bane, and Cheri Thompson went undefeated and finished on top. The Corn Dawgs donated their $250 to The Hospice of the Western Reserve. The finals (Libra - Mentor vs. Libra - Willoughby) took place on October 29, 2014, when the Kernel Smashers defeated the Corn Dawgs on their home turf.

Jenn Kiminas, Libra Industries’ Marketing and Communications Manager, commented, “We spend so much time at the workplace and it is so important to have fun together. At Libra Industries our goal is to host one event each month. These events are aimed at promoting unity and creating energy amongst our team. The team that plays together stays together.”
