Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen Visits Heller Industries in New Jersey.

Sep 06, 2014

Briefing Co-hosted by IPC as Part of Continuing Effort to Connect IPC Members with Policymakers.

Today, Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ-11) met with senior executives and employees of IPC member-company Heller Industries in Florham Park, NJ. Coordinated by IPC, the meeting was part of an effort to help policymakers learn first-hand about legislative and regulatory issues that impact the electronics manufacturing industry.

“Many thanks to Heller Industries and IPC for hosting today’s meeting and tour,” said Rep. Frelinghuysen. “With high unemployment rates and recovery projects still underway, it is critical that we continue to support local manufacturers which provide thousands of jobs to New Jersey workers. Heller Industries is an outstanding example of U.S. innovation that helps us remain competitive in the global marketplace.”

Heller Industries, a leader in reflow technology, supplies solutions for electronics manufacturers and assemblers worldwide. Heller Industries President Marc Peo hosted the tour and led the discussion of several important policy and regulatory issues including export controls, tax policy, science-based environmental regulation and public-private partnerships for manufacturing innovation.

On behalf of Heller Industries and IPC, I thank Congressman Frelinghuysen for his continued support of the manufacturing industry,” said Peo. “We are extremely appreciative of his time today and look forward to working with him on policies that help the manufacturing industry remain competitive so that we can continue to create jobs and innovate.”

Rep. Frelinghuysen’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program, through which IPC government relations staff arrange opportunities for IPC members to host elected officials at company locations. IPC member companies interested in hosting a legislator should contact IPC Vice President of Government Relations John Hasselmann at JohnHasselmann@ipc.org.
