  • Deftronic’s conference to take place on 23rd and 24th September 2014
  • Participation from leading Industry Associations & Speakers

electronica India 2014 and productronica India 2014 will highlight technology innovations and recent developments in the electronics manufacturing sector. With participation from leading companies from the electronics hardware industry, the opportunity to witness the changing landscape of the sector is one that cannot be missed by the stakeholder community. The trade fairs are poised to kick-off and provide innovative platforms to domestic electronics manufacturers to meet the consumption of electronics in India. Thereby they are supported by various associations like: Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA), Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), Consortium of Electronic Industries of Karnataka (CLIK), LED products Manufacturers' Association, India (LEDMA) and others.

For the very first time, Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA) and MMI India have collaborate in conducting DEFTRONICS, an International Symposium focusing on the Indian ESDM ecosystem, Internal Security & Aerospace. The symposium is co-located with electronica India 2014 and productronica India 2014 and will take place on September 23 and 24. One of the key speakers are Peter Gutsmiedli, CEO at Airbus D&S India, Paul Klonowski, Global Director A&D at Analog Devices, Rahul Chaudhry, CEO at Tata Power SED, Chris Rao, MD at UTC Aerospace, Kishore Jayaraman, President India & South Asia at Rolls Royce and Ram Prasad, MD at Rockwell Collins India. The symposium will further feature participation from leading companies such as L&T, BrahMos Aerospace, MOOG, ACCORD, idealForge, Kingsly, ACCUREX, etc. to name a few. Roland Berger Strategy Consultants will conduct a session on the Defense Procurement Policy.

LEDCON, entering into its second edition, will highlight key issues such as LED Ecosystem, LED Technologies – Applications & Challenges. The session will throw light on business opportunities in public/private sector apart from LED Solar PV solutions and opportunities to develop new applications. There will be a dedicated LED Zone for exhibitors besides exclusive buyer and seller meetings for the LED Industry. The conference will help attendees gain insights on the LED Industry, identify latest technology trends and business opportunities as well as challenges. LEDCON will prove to be an interactive platform with networking opportunities also with Government officials.

IPC INDIA 2014 will feature PCB designing workshops, training and exclusive the IPC INDIA pavilion. For visitors it will be an added advantage as they can participate and witness latest technologies in Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) manufacturing and designing. IPC INDIA will also host a soldering competition during the trade fairs. The conference will emphasize on factors like Failure Analysis for improved reliability and Identification & mitigation of counterfeit parts, EMI/EMC Standards, Compliance and practical guidelines.

The SMT Workshop by Kang Young Bong will feature SMT status in India, Basics of SMT, solutions, programming and data control. It will also focus on reasons and solutions, efficiency and down time data control, quality data control and purpose of the control. The workshop will include sessions catering SMT investment, Machines Introduction - ESE Screen Printer & PEMTRON SPI, Programming procedure, Part data explanation, etc.

ELCINA Seminar will focus on Enabling a Competitive Eco-System for Electronics Manufacturing - EMS and PCB which will be addressed by renowned DeitY and ELCINA officials as well as key industry leaders.

Bhupinder Singh, CEO at MMI India states: “It is a great privilege to bring forward the 15th edition of the trade fairs. They will prove to be a window to the evolving electronics manufacturing industry and will provide a platform for industry stakeholders to exhibit and exchange ideas on a national and global level. The electronics industry has received the urgently needed inspiration for growth through the recently announced budget of 2014. Steps taken with this budget are to promote home grown businesses and support the SME sector in India.

Organized by MMI India, the trade fairs will focus on providing the necessary boost to the Indian electronics manufacturing industry which has hitherto shown sluggish growth in the past couple of quarters. This industry is heterogeneous in nature and has a critical role to play in the overall Indian economy. The electronics manufacturing industry, which contributes over two per cent of GDP, is expected to rise to around five per cent by 2015.

electronica India and productronica India will take place from 23 to 25 September, 2014 at BIEC, Bengaluru.

electronica India is India’s and South Asia’s leading trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications.
