AMTECH, a leading manufacturer of solder paste and process support products, has just announced the appointment of Kathy Palumbo as Technical Support Manager.
Kathy’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering. She is also a certified IPC Master Instructor (MIT) for the IPC-A-610 & 600 documents, a certified IPC Trainer (CIT) for J-STD-001 documents, and has made numerous presentations at seminars and at major trade shows.
In addition to her specialized knowledge in SMT soldering and circuit assembly, Kathy brings over 29 years of on-the-job experience in design, test, manufacturing, reliability, quality, & engineering management. In 1999, she founded Production Analysis and Learning Services LLC, a full turnkey electronic engineering consulting company specializing in electronic circuit & PCB design, manufacturing, reliability, and quality.
In 2002, Kathy became active within the trade association SMTA, serving the LA/OC chapter in various capacities, including terms as President, Secretary, and currently as Vice President. To honor Kathy for her many years of dedicated service, SMTA presented Kathy with their prestigious Excellence in Leadership Award in 2009. Kathy also remains active within the IPC, serving as treasurer of the Orange County Designer's Council and as a volunteer for the local University Industrial Advisory Committee.
