This presentation is designed to help the audiences select the correct features and configuration for their X-ray inspection system by understanding how the key parameters affect the outcome of X-ray image quality. Parameters discussed include X-ray power in terms of Kv and mA (Wattage), magnification, image resolution, image grey scale, pixel size, level of automation in report generation, and more. It also intends to break the myth of X-ray spot size and the debate of open tube vs. closed tube X-ray sources.

Ren Yang is VJ Electronix’ China Sales Manager. He is a veteran in the PCBA industry, with nearly 20 years of experience in various focuses of SMT production processes such as solder past printing, optical inspection (AOI), chip programming, reflow soldering and vapor phase soldering. Yang obtained his BSEE degree from the Tatung Institute of Technology, Taipei and MSCE degree from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell.
