ZESTRON, the globally leading provider of high precision cleaning products, services and training solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry, is pleased to announce that Kalyan Nukala, M.S.Chem.Eng., Application Engineer, ZESTRON, will present "Why Clean PCBs" at the SMTA Heartland (Kansas, Missouri) Chapter Meeting on October 29th.
Trends within the electronics industry, including miniaturized components, increased board density and reduced standoff heights, are driving the need for precision cleaning. Failure to properly clean PCBs can create several root causes, including dendritic growth, electrochemical migration, and electrical leakage currents. Mr. Nukala will discuss reliability issues, solutions and best practices. Test results of DI-water vs. chemistry will be examined and surface analytical methods will also be reviewed.
The SMTA Heartland Chapter Meeting will be held at Corporate Woods, Building 84 Conference Room, 10801 Mastin Boulevard, Overland Park, KS, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. For the full technical program or to register for this event, please visit SMTA.org.
