NEPCON South China, which took place at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in August, is the largest, longest running electronics trade fair in South China. It is the ultimate expo for innovative, smart manufacturing solutions and a great platform from which to introduce creative products and technologies to the local and international market. The 2013 event welcomed 31,340 visitors through the show doors.
Spanning 30,000 sqm, on which more than 500 leading exhibitors from 22 countries and regions showcased their electronics manufacturing solutions, the three-day event received tens of thousands of industry elites and buyers, who assessed 1,000+ varieties of innovative electronics manufacturing equipment. Additionally, the VIP program attracted 796 Targeted Attendees (decision-makers or medium-to-high-level managers with set procurement plans) who each had significant buying power.
International SMT giants like Panasonic, FUJI, ASM, WKK, Samsung, Juki, Sony, Assembleon and Hitachi were onsite. Also present were leading printer, soldering and mounter, and test equipment manufacturers from Europe, the US, Korea and Japan. These attracted large throngs of visitors. Special announcements and new product launches included Fuji’s NXTIII, Juki’s JX-300LED, Assembléon’s AX-501, Sony’s SAXES autumn new products and many more offerings from regional and global manufacturers.

As the country’s key electronic manufacturing center, South China represents a key market for automation application. The organizer, Reed Exhibitions, featured an Electronic Manufacturing Automation Zone on the show floor, where leading brands like ABB, USHIO, Robostar and HIWIN took center stage. ABB demonstrated its robot small parts assembly cell and small 3D gluing system, among other solutions. This year, NEPCON South China introduced NEPCON TV, a first-time promotional medium streaming video interviews with industry leaders. The narrowcast channel was a chance to hear directly from industry experts and gain new business insights. The organizer also launched a mobile app for the event, giving participants one-click access to all show information on-the-go. All these factors combined contributed to the tremendous success of NEPCON South China 2013!
