MatriX-FocalSpot Inc., a leading global supplier of advanced X-ray inspection systems for electronics assembly and industrial applications (AXI, MXI, CT and NDT), will debut its latest innovation in semi-automated X-ray inspection - the XT-3 - in Booth #305 at the upcoming SMTA International Exhibition, scheduled to take place October 15-16, 2013 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas. The XT-3 Manual & Semi-Automated X-ray Inspection System now offers transmission and optional oblique viewing, and is fully programmable without CAD data. It offers a fully traceable inspection process with an optional bar-code reader that also serves to automatically recall and load the inspection prorgram for the specific assembly.
The XT-3 is a high-quality, high-resolution semi-automated X-ray inspection system designed to address fast intuitive operation, low-volume production capacity, and advanced failure analysis for SMT production inspection and quality control protocols.
The XT-3 addresses more complex SMT solder joint inspection and semiconductor component inspection and analysis. The system is easy-to-use and learn by all production floor operators, technicians and engineers. The small footprint allows passage through a standard door width. The XT-3 offers exceptional image quality, and together with the MatriX Image Processing Software (MIPs), provides industry-leading automation for testing and measuring to IPC specifcations, BGA, QFN, FET voiding as well as barrel fill on connectors.
