Universal Welcomes SmartSol Technologies to Channel Partner Network

Jun 25, 2012

Universal Instruments has enriched its customer coverage in Mexico with the addition of a new Channel Partner, SmartSol Technologies. SmartSol complements Universal’s Customer Operations infrastructure in the territory by leveraging a thorough understanding of the Mexican market to provide best-in-class technology solutions in the form of capital equipment, as well as consumables and engineering services for peripheral electronics assembly process equipment.

SmartSol Technologies was established in 2012 with the objective to exceed customer expectations by delivering best-in-class products and services in a dynamic high-technology market environment. Operating from its Guadalajara office in the ITESO Technology Park, SmartSol enlists an active team with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience to provide its customers tailored solutions for their specific manufacturing challenges. SmartSol leverages a versatile portfolio to serve the electronics assembly industries in Mexico, including EMS providers, automotive, green technologies and more.

SmartSol is co-owned and directed by Fernando Salomon, Jaime Perez and Ivan Romo. The latter comments on joining the Universal Instruments team, “This is a great opportunity for us to partner with a well-respected industry leader driven by a “customer-first” initiative. Universal’s portfolio is well-aligned with current industry challenges by featuring unmatched flexibility, fast and efficient changeovers, and the broadest technology spectrum of any solutions provider.” Romo adds, “These are valuable advantages in ensuring the success of our customers.

Universal’s Vice President of Sales, Brad Bennett, states “SmartSol embraces our philosophy of providing complete market-focused solutions. This approach is more important than ever with emerging markets, such as green technologies, requiring a variety of processes to enable complete production solutions.” Bennett adds, “As a premier representative with an acute knowledge of the Mexican market landscape, SmartSol is a welcomed addition that will be instrumental as we fortify our Customer Operations network in the region.
