ACD, a leading supplier to the electronics industry, has promoted Bao Nguyen to Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Programmer for its Quality Department.
Bao joined ACD approximately a year ago as Machine Operator and has proven to be a great asset to the company. Scott Fillebrown, ACD’s President & CEO commented on Bao’s recent promotion: “Bao has a great work ethic and constantly looks for ways to improve. He is a quick learner and will be up-to-speed in programming our AOI equipment in no time. Bao loves a challenge and I am confident that he will have the AOI process working optimally.”
In his new role, Bao will program and debug the AOI programs, providing training and support to the AOI and remote repair station operators. As the company’s AOI Programmer, he will develop the inspection programs and the parts libraries that the automated inspection equipment uses to perform product inspection. Bao will work with the AOI vendor to maintain and improve the operation of ACD’s AOI systems. He is an experienced certified Quality Auditor (QA) for all types of printed circuit boards (PCBs) as well as AOI.
