Balver Zinn Debuts New Application & Training Center

The Balver Zinn/Cobar Group announces the opening of its new application and training center located at the facility in Balve, Germany. This application center is equipped with various assembly machines from related companies, including SEHO, EKRA and HAKKO.

The objective of the application center is to support research and development activities, demonstrate processes to potential customers, provide process support training, and root cause failure analysis for customer issues.

Practical sections of various training programs will take place in the official IPC-qualified application part of the center where the company’s Certified Trainers (CTI) will provide training courses such as hand soldering, DoE in soldering, and IPC training in accordance with J-STD-001E and IPC-A-610E.

Equipment and training sessions currently available at the center include:

SEHO PowerReflow 2.4
• Six zones
• Process zones 2.4 meters
• KIC 24/7 profiler on Board
• Training sessions: Reflow process training, KIC 24/7 profiling training, KIC Explorer profiling training

EKRA X5 Desk Printer — Training sessions: Printing parameters


SEHO GoWave
• Chip wave
• Main wave
• 340 mm wave
• Training sessions: Wave soldering training and solder bath management

HAKKO Hand Soldering Stations
• Six modern stations
• Training sessions: Hand soldering – 1 day, hand soldering – 2 days, J-STD-001 training
